This page is deliberately factual. It records what we deliver, what we are piloting, and what is still in preparation — without projecting future ambition as present achievement.
Problem. Young people complete school with qualifications but without practical experience, portfolios, or exposure to real problem-solving.
Approach. Twelve-week project-based programmes delivered inside schools. Teams identify a real community problem, research it, design and build a solution, test it with users, and present it publicly.
Partners. Schools in Kenya, with facilitator delivery and materials provided by Novara.
Evidence. Learner portfolios, documented projects, and a completed competency record for every participant.
One real problem. One multidisciplinary team. A twelve-month arc ending in something a decision-maker can act on.
Status: in design. We will publish results — including negative results — when the work is complete.
The first Graduate Builder cohort is deliberately small — quality and evidence before scale. Recruitment is multidisciplinary by design: software, engineering, science, business, research, design, economics and agriculture.
Alongside it we are preparing a single joint pilot with one university: a small number of graduate Builders, a small number of lecturers, one real problem, and one implementation partner.
One completed pilot is worth more than a signed strategic partnership that produces nothing.
Activity counts are easy and mostly meaningless. As projects complete, Novara will report outcomes in this form:

But this:
"500 Builders participated in 37 real-world projects; 11 solutions reached implementation, 4 ventures were created, 73 participants transitioned into employment or paid project work, and 3 research collaborations were established."

Innovations that moved beyond testing into actual use.
